Frequently Asked Questions.

Supporting organizations in building practical safety and workforce systems often raises important questions. Below are some of the most common topics we discuss with prospective clients.

FAQ Questions & Answers

What types of organizations do you work with?

Crafted Safety supports organizations across a range of industries including construction, manufacturing, automotive, municipal services, recycling, and service-based operations.

Many of our clients are small to mid-sized businesses that do not have in-house safety or HR departments, or leadership teams that want additional strategic guidance as their workforce grows.

If you have employees and regulatory responsibilities, structured safety and workforce systems become essential regardless of industry.

Do you only provide safety services, or do you support HR as well?

While safety remains the core focus, many compliance and operational challenges intersect with human resources functions.

Policies, hiring & recruitment, onboarding processes, employee handbook, training documentation, workplace investigations, and employee accountability systems all overlap with safety responsibilities. Crafted Safety helps organizations align these systems so they function cohesively rather than as separate processes.

How do your monthly advisory plans work?

Crafted Safety provides structured monthly support designed to give organizations consistent access to guidance and oversight.

Depending on the plan selected, support may include advisory meetings, documentation development, training coordination, inspection reviews, and leadership-level guidance.

This model allows organizations to move beyond reactive consulting and instead build systems that evolve with their operations.

What if we already have some safety systems in place?

Many organizations come to us with existing policies or programs that simply need refinement or better structure.

Our role is often to review what currently exists, identify gaps between documentation and practice, and strengthen the systems already in place. In many cases, we build upon your current framework rather than replacing it entirely.

Do you provide on-site support or only virtual services?

Both options are available.

While many aspects of safety and workforce support can be delivered virtually, on-site visits may be recommended for inspections, investigations, training, or operational reviews depending on your organization's needs.

This allows us to remain flexible while still providing practical oversight when required.

Can you help if we experience a workplace incident?

Yes. Organizations often contact Crafted Safety when navigating incidents, regulatory inspections, or complex workforce situations.

We provide structured guidance to help leadership manage investigations, documentation, regulatory communication, and next steps while maintaining operational stability.

Our focus is on helping organizations respond appropriately while strengthening systems to prevent future incidents.

Do you offer customized training programs?

Yes. In addition to coordinating recognized training courses, Crafted Safety can develop customized training programs tailored to your organization's operations.

This may include onboarding safety programs, supervisor guidance workshops, or organization-specific hazard training designed to address your unique workplace risks.

What is the first step to working together?

The process typically begins with a consultation conversation.

During this discussion, we learn about your organization, workforce structure, and current safety practices. From there, we can determine whether our services align with your needs and recommend the level of structured support that would be most appropriate.

Do you work outside Ontario?

Crafted Safety is based in Ontario and our core regulatory expertise is grounded in Ontario’s workplace legislation.

However, many aspects of safety systems, workforce documentation, training programs, and operational structure are universally applicable across jurisdictions. For organizations operating outside Ontario, we can provide advisory support on system development, training strategy, documentation frameworks, and leadership guidance.

Where jurisdiction-specific regulatory expertise is required, we can also collaborate with trusted partners to ensure local compliance requirements are addressed appropriately.
